KOLKATA: In a span of 5-6 years, we have witnessed digital technologies evolve, new platforms emerge and audience behaviour shift. In that context, we managed to catch up with Mr. Prosenjit Das, the Managing Director at Comval and a co-founder of CITS, to get an overview of his strategies, and adaptive approaches.

Through his extensive experience of more than two decades, he has seen companies trying to sell their products or services with the approach of providing solutions to customers’ problems. At some time in the past, he said, it was an effective marketing approach which he adopted as well. But things have changed now.

Nearly half of Indian businesses have shifted to upscaling using Generative AI applications. A little more than 20% are in the experimental stage, wondering if they should revamp their strategies. Mr. Das has a different take on this. He feels that lead generation, Ad optimization and other data-driven methodologies can be scaled with artificial intelligence and LLMs. But marketing must preserve its personalised, human approach for authenticity.

From Codes And Leads To Unshakeable Leadership

The journey of Mr. Das started long before digital marketing got incorporated into mainstream business operations.

In 1999, he started his career as a Business Development Executive at Compressor Accessories International, where he learned about the evolving needs of customers and how markets respond to the same.

After five years, he joined as the Head of Web Development at Essar in 2004, where he upgraded his leadership skills both by managing teams and delivering complex projects that involved full stack development. It was in Essar that he realised the importance of emerging technologies and how those will shape businesses in the future.

The next phase in his growth was the role of IT Manager at Compressor Valves and Plates Service from 2006-2008. Besides overseeing SBU operations, he also developed structured workflows and automated hiring processes.

It was the year 2009 that redefined his journey in leadership and strategic business development. As the Chief Operational Manager at Comval-Web, he gathered valuable experience in CMS platforms ERP and HRMS systems, e-commerce infrastructures, job portals and classified platforms. Working with cross-platform mobile frameworks and Google APIs, etc., became daily realities, thus shaping a future of developing innovative digital solutions.

Parallelly, he started RightCliQ Solutions India in 2013 with the idea of offering advanced virtual assistance for day-to-day business operations, like admin and back-office. It was a remarkable proof of his futuristic vision, because many businesses opt for such digital solutions today.

It was his extensive tech expertise, leadership qualities, unmatched clarity, communicative approach and relation-building priorities that formed the foundation of his next ventures, CITS in 2019 and Comval in 2023.

Today, he operates both Comval and CITS with a rare blend of technical and marketing knowledge along with leadership skills. He brings everything that he has learned over the years into the three ventures that he nurtures – Comval, CITS and RightCliq Solutions India.
